Emmanuel Vitus Agbenonwossi is Policy Analyst, Internet Governance Expert and Independent Researcher. Based in Accra (Ghana) since 2014, Emmanuel Vitus works to advance digital freedom with Internet rights defenders globally. Emmanuel has previously worked as Communications Manager for Paradigm Initiative and Google policy Fellow for Francophone Africa. He is currently the Executive Director of Afrotribune. Through advocacy, stakeholder engagement, research and capacity building programs, Emmanuel works to promote greater transparency and integrity in all areas of internet policies, regulations and practices that respect users and create trusted online environments and experiences. Emmanuel supports multi-stakeholder Internet governance processes in Africa by providing technical support to National and Regional Initiatives (NRIs), and Schools of Internet Governance (SIGs) as a faculty member. Emmanuel is the chairperson of the Togo Internet Governance Forum. Emmanuel is a graduate of the University of Greenwich (London), Central University (Tunisia), University of Malta and the IAEC University (Togo).
