Seamos Democracia Digital
Financial Director
Bogota, Colombia
My name is Juan Carlos Rodriguez, current finacial director of Seamos Democracia Digital in Bogotá, Colombia. Our Organization is a citizen’s movement, united by the idea of bringing creativity to power. We foward to improve quality and access to democracy.

Also, to grant "a real voice" to citizens in public discussions or initiatives, trying to consolidate process around social causes and indignation, encouraging communities to be involved in political change. SeamOS produce social, political and institutional transformations through the use of technology, as part of a global trend, with the aim of improving the practices of representative democracy and citizenship participation with social and political impact in Colombia.

You vote, you decide: This project aims to make more real the representative democracy, reconnecting the voter with his/her elected. SeamOS wants to go beyond the electoral process, putting technology at the service of citizens whenever a major decision is made, making digital citizen participation binding for politics, making what happens in digital media to materialize in the real world, passing from "LIKE" to "DO IT".

Civic Causes: This project aims to achieve incidence of citizenship in cases that have significance for the communities, that have political clout or social and media impact beyond the protest or digital indignation. These causes must be specified in real actions of administrative or judicial ways.
SeamOS is conformed by citizens involved in political media, government, academia and civic organizations. We have a corporate government in which our political allies currently in office do not take part in order to guarantee impartiality and transparency in our processes.

Lets talk about Civic Tech :)
